What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis is the study and analysis of human behavior and its environmental influences. ABA Therapists analyze the child’s natural environment and determine what factors can be causing social, language, and behavior challenges. ABA Therapists use a variety of techniques such as positive reinforcement and environment modification to teach new skills and increase productivity while reducing behaviors that prevent learning and development.
Our therapists work together to create a customized behavior care plan that corresponds to your child’s unique set of challenges and has attainable goals for your child to reach. BCBAs help formulate the plan while ABA Therapists implement it. As we get to know your child on a more personal level, we’ll continue updating the plan to fit his/her particular needs and progress. Our staff works alongside family members and educators to help them understand the goals of the care plan and how to implement the proper ABA methods to achieve optimal results. Integrating ABA Therapy practices into their curriculums at school allows for a fully inclusive and thorough ABA service.
What Should I Expect?
The implementation of ABA Therapy has dramatically improved the quality of life for those who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Syndrome. At Links ABA, you will receive services in the comfort of your home and in conjunction with your child’s relatives and caregivers. Under the supervision of the BCBA, and with the direction on your child’s unique care plan, your assigned ABA therapist will use ABA methods to increase/decrease targeted behaviors. Your child’s progress will be monitored on a steady basis and his/her plan of care will be adjusted accordingly in order to maintain continual results.
